Pathways to Politics
We welcomed ten extraordinary and diverse women to our second year of Pathways to Politics in the Northern Territory, where participants engaged in a stimulating five-day intensive program.
What’s new to the Knowledge Hub – including an interview with Pathways alum and former Federal MP Dr Katie Allen, a Pathways conversation with the Hon Gabrielle Upton, a wealth of new research on the intersectionality between gender and culture for women in leadership, plus the changes needed to ensure that women are accommodated and supported in Parliament – and more!
Participants from the University of Melbourne program hit a major milestone in the Pathways to Politics journey last weekend – an all-day intensive session on “Campaigning and Media Training,” with special guests including Tracey Spicer AM, Senator Jane Hume and Ruth McGowan OAM.
We were proud to welcome our inaugural ACT and South Australian cohorts to the Pathways to Politics Program for Women last week, alongside the third New South Wales program.

Congratulations to Pathways alum Mary Doyle, the new Labor MP for Aston! Mary will be the first woman to hold the seat of Aston since its creation in 1984.
