More women in politics key to tackling gender inequality

In her opinion piece from The Age newspaper, law lecturer, author and 2020 WLIA Fellow Dr Ramona Vijeyarasa calls for more women in politics and lasting reform to get Australia back on a positive pathway to being globally influential and show a real commitment to equality.

Systemic change requires lasting reform and not just commitments from one party in power. The laws and institutions we create now will ensure that the current willingness for change sets the foundations for a future, more equal, Australia.
